Is there any way for a college student to get free airfare?

I am a freshman in college (18) and looking to experience the world while I am still young and have some fun. The only thing holding me back is money. If i could get free airfare that would save more than half of the trips expense cost. Is there any student program or work I can do for the air company to get free travel?
