Is it illegal to bribe a club bouncer with fake money?

If I go to an exclusive club, walk p the line and up to the door man with a couple girls, and he gives me any grief, if i shake his hand and leave a folded up fake 100 in his hand, is that illegal? (doesn't really matter if it works or not) Just wondering if that hypothetical situation would be legal or not... Any insight is appreciated.
