How to convert codepoints into UTF-8 form?

I really have no clue how to do this, so whoever explains how to convert codepoints like 41 (character A) or 1EF3 into UTF-8, the clearest way possible so I can understand gets best answer. Keep in mind i don't even really know the first step.
