Can i still get pregnant eventhough im not having regular periods?

ok so i had a baby dec 22 08 he is almost 10 months. My periods were normal at first but then in may i got my period and did not ahve a nother one till august. I took test after test and all was negative. I got my period in august and the n havent had one since then. So can i still get pregnant or am i ok till i have another period? No rude answers please. If i were to get pregnant it would be ok but i dont want tooo yet.
