How do you get stubborn people to become open-minded?

Well I'm not going to say "stubborn". How about "close minded" people. Stubborn can be applied to open minded people too, like you? You are stubborn for not accepting the fact that everyone is not open minded and everyone will not see both sides of the coin, nor do they want to. Well with all other (stubborn) people who you don't care about--All you can do is state your position, and just leave them at that. Now its a little different with love ones. With closed minded people you care about you have to "prove it to them" until you gain their trust. Its just like this. You have to decide if the person is worth enough trouble for you to "prove it to them". Pick and choose your battles wisely. This battle with Grandma, you cannot win.
