How do i purswade him to come back?

Okay so I dated this guy for 2 years and we planed on getting married but he wasnt being responsible and he was doing some things that i didnt agree with, He told me he would stop doing those things so over and over I gave him chance after chance to straiten things out. Well he never did , so affter many tears and prayers i reluctantly broke it off with him. I went for a vacation to Florida not long after and met another guy that was pretty cool, well to make a long story short my ex beged me to give him another chance and i refused so he left and went back to his home town in Indiana and said he just needed a brake and a vacation but that he would return and prove his unconditional love to me bla bla bla...... okay so im still talking to this other guy and he comes down to see me but i can only think about my x because im not over him yet I LOVE HIM so i tell the "new guy" its not gonna work out, and i send him packing lol. anyway now my x dosent want to come back what should i do, for more detail contact me cause theres tons more. help me please
