93 s10 blazer 4.3 6 cyl stalling?

Okay i have had this truck for about almost 2 months. it was driving fine until one day i was pulling in to get gas and i wasn't paying attention and i let go of the clutch and stalled. i put gas in it and it would'nt start. it would sound like it was going to start but wouldn't. so my friend got starter fluid and it started up fine. the air filter was bad so whenever i would put it back in it would die so we left it off and replaced it with a new one. it drives fine for about 10 minutes then dies and wont start unless i do the starter fluid. i replaced the fuel filter but it wont screw on all the way it only leaks a drop of gas per 2 seconds when the truck is on but when its off it doesn't. does that mean my fuel pump is working? sometimes the car wont die i don't drive it on the freeway because of it dieing but it drives fine from time to time in the city. anyone know what could be the problem? any help is greatly appreciated.
